Northrop Grumman Tool Control Program Coordinator (MCAS Yuma) in Yuma, Arizona

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), F-35 Sustainment HPSI Operating Unit, has an opening for a Tool Crib Attendant 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. You will be assigned as a Tool Control Program Coordinator supporting F-35 organizational maintenance at MCAS Yuma, AZ . Your Mission will be to support O-Level maintenance on F-35.

Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing Tool Control Program as the Tool Control Coordinator for entire squadron.

  • Directly coordinates with the squadron Maintenance Material Control Officer or Aviation Maintenance Officer, ensuring tool program compliance.

  • Assists with auditing of the tool control program to confirm compliance with the Tool Control Manual.

  • Ensures compliance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program and Local Command Procedures.

  • Performs routine spot checks of tool inventory for compliance.

  • Provides training to in-shop tool control representatives.

  • Manages squadron tool budget, initiates, orders, and completes broken/worn/missing tool reports, properly disposes of unserviceable tools through the DRMO process.

  • Assist Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) representatives with calibration placard inspections prior to tool use confirming correct calibration.

  • Assist USMC/USN with tooling storage and setting up storage locations for new tooling.

  • Ensures Periodic Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) are being performed on the tooling and SE prior to the expiration of current inspections.

  • Performs follow-up inspections to ensure work-orders are signed off in CMMS for tooling, special test equipment, and SE.

  • Assists logistics personnel in pre- and post-deployment preparations to include inventories, inspections, packaging, and shipping of tools and/or equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 6 years of experience in Aviation Tool Control Accountability and Tool Control Program Procedures. Will consider a bachelor's degree and 4 years of applied experience; or, a master's degree.

  • Excellent knowledge of tools and their intended use, tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Safety programs.

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.

  • A current Secret DoD clearance with ability to obtain a higher clearance if necessary.

  • Able to meet the physical demands of this position, including regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, and reach. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.

  • Excellent communication skills and experience in a Military-focused Customer Service-Related Industry.

  • Highly skilled in using MS Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Programs

  • Experience as a Tool Control Coordinator for Naval Aviation Squadrons.

  • Understanding of Hazardous material processes and procedures in conjunction with maintaining re-stock points of PEB, bench/shop stock and consumables.

  • F-35 ALIS experience.

  • U. S. Navy or U. S. Marine Corps experience with thorough understanding of F-35 Fighter Aircraft Systems and operations under COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 and 4790.35.

Salary Range: $51,500 - $85,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
