We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the CPS iSeries Development team that is responsible for our ATM and debit card management system and online transaction processing.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of back-end services. You will be a part of the large project and will have the opportunity to collaborate with Business Analysts and QA team members on our annual release. The ideal candidate will be an EFT Technology expert who can take defined requirements and deliver a solution through acceptance while collaborating with all software delivery disciplines on the team. What you'll be responsible for:

  • Completes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.

  • Performs system analysis and programming activities which may require extensive research and analysis.

  • Provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.

  • Provides both individual and budget-level tasks and product effort estimates/costs.

  • Ensures timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production, both at an individual and team level.

  • Develops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.

  • Creates required technical documentation.

  • Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards. Participates in the definition and documentation of standards.

  • Collaboratively works with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

  • Collaboratively works with customer support team to resolve or diagnose defects.

  • Performs release validation testing and beta support for projects.

  • Researches problems and develops solutions to the problems.

  • Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.

  • Assists in training and mentoring less experienced peers.

  • May contribute to product architecture.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 6 years programming in the languages of RPGLE free, SQLRPGLE, CLLE.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% to attend JH meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience with Service Programs, Stored Procedures, and XML.

  • Experience with card management and protecting card data.

  • Experience with ISO-8583 message processing.

  • Experience with RDI

  • Experience with MDCMS change control tools.

  • Experience with Jack Henry Core banking platforms and products.
