Copeland Business Development Manager (VILTER) (m/f/d) in Germany

The Business Development Manager executes the strategic growth plans in Europe for Vilter’s industrial heat pump and refrigeration compressor units. As a key member of Vilter’s European sales team, the successful candidate applies an effective approach to identify targeted industrial segments and key customers, build market positions, and strengthen relationships with customers. In collaboration with other functional areas across the organization, the candidate will deliver long-term growth and provide customers with an exceptional experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Assess market trends, identify targeted industrial segments, and support sales activities to achieve sales and margin targets for Vilter heat pumps and refrigeration compressor units in Europe.

  • Maintain and deep relationships with key customers and partners to encourage a preference for Vilter products and services.

  • Prepare detailed sales presentations.

  • Evaluate potential acquisition.

  • Participate in tradeshows and industry associations and engage key partners with frequent visits to advance Vilter’s value proposition and technical advantages.

  • Manage and maintain market, customer, and competitor information.

  • Attend weekly Opportunity Review Board meetings and provide updates on key customers.

  • Collaborate across functions to ensure strong performance and positive customer experience.

  • Regular travel required, up to 75 nights per year depending on customer needs.

  • Other duties as business needs emerge.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering.

  • A minimum of 3 years sales experience in industrial HVACR equipment manufacturer.

  • Must be a self-starter.

  • Demonstrated business sense and strong drive for results.

  • Strong financial acumen.

  • Knowledgeable in contract negotiations.

  • Ability to communicate both technically and commercially with all levels of the organization as well as customers and end users.

  • Is fluent in German and English.
