Insight Global Business Analyst - GEC in Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Business Analyst to join an enterprise retail company in a hybrid work model out of Vancouver with an on-site requirement of three days per week. The Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and the Technology Team Lead of Vendor Operations to create both business, functional and technical requirements for features and functionality to support internal business needs and improve internal end to end processes to help support end users. This specific team is responsible for overseeing all level 1 and level 2 support for in store technology such as POS systems, printers, speakers, and anything else that would fall under the technology umbrella.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Business and functional requirements gathering & document technical requirements

  • System integration, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions into retail operations

  • Provide expertise in identifying and resolving integration issues and ensuring data accuracy.

  • Evaluate and streamline retail processes to enhance efficiency and/or recommend and implement improvements to drive operational excellence.

  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to retail performance.

  • Collaborate with vendors to understand technology solutions and ensure they align with business requirements.

  • Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for enhancements or changes.

  • Performs troubleshooting and investigates root cause of production issues

  • Translating business strategy into roadmaps for consumption by teams

  • Prioritizing requirements based on business and technical needs

  • Assess configuration options to meet requirements and specifications

  • Aligning overall scope and sequencing recommendations with business stakeholders

  • Utilizing artifacts such as business requirements documents (BRDs), JIRA, Confluence and Business Process Documentation to facilitate requirements alignment sessions

  • Documents technical solutions to identified problems

  • Provide guidance and support to test strategy, plan and execution

  • Strong skills in cross-functional partnership and gaining alignment within constraints of the project or work

Skills and Requirements

  • Has 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technical and functional capacity

  • Has previous knowledge of ITIL process or ITSM, incident management, change management and ServiceNow

  • Has experience working within networking or payments space using Auris, chase, or Verifone

  • Has used Jira and Confluence * Retail experience (Aritzia, MEC, Arc'teryx) null
