This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,900 employees worldwide working with these products, and 1,000 in Sweden, we are the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.

We currently have an opportunity for a Product Information Expert within the Product Information team. The team creates and updates product information in the form of User manuals, Directions for Use and Labels/Box prints.

What will you do?

You will join a group of four people working with Directions for Use for allergy and autoimmunity products. You will work in the XML-based system Skribenta CCMS in close contact with colleagues from other departments in Uppsala and Freiburg. In the role as Product Information Expert, you will:

• Create, revise and publish Directions for Use (DfU).

• Coordinate translations and validation of translations with the translation agency and local marketing offices and distributors.

• Represent Product Information in product development and product care projects, obtaining information required to create the documentation.

• Collaborate with other departments and drive activities within the area of responsibility.

• Contribute to the teams’ optimization of processes and workflows.

• Plan, follow up and report progress of activities.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a person who enjoys working with a mix of small and large tasks and activities, both individually and in collaboration with others, both within the Product Information team and with colleagues from other groups. Further, we are looking for someone who:

• Has a strong interest in texts and language.

• Has a genuine technical interest, capable of picking up new applications and systems.

• Has experience working in a CMS and single-sourcing of content

• Has experience working with markup languages (HTML, XML)

• Has a university degree in the field of life science field (or any other area that may be relevant to this role).

• Is proficient in Swedish and English (both written and oral).

• Is reliable, accurate and has an eye for details.

• Is a good collaborator with clear communication skills.

In addition, it is an advantage if you:

• Have experience from managing translations.

• Have experience with technical writing and information mapping.

• Have experience in leading activities in a project setting.

• Are an excellent communicator and easily collaborate with others

• Can coordinate and swiftly shift between different activities
