Responsibilities:

• Manage and integrate a volunteer/intern program at Unity House of Troy

• Management of the onboarding process for prospective volunteers and interns. This includes sending, receiving, entering and following through on results of required background check paperwork for programs to which they apply.

• Lead volunteer and intern orientation sessions that will include all required trainings.

• Maintain spreadsheet on required annual trainings for volunteers/interns for reporting purposes.

• Maintain ongoing matchmaking of volunteers and interns to Unity House of Troy’s programs.

• Ensure all volunteer/intern information are entered accurately and timely in all appropriate databases.

• Recognize volunteer achievements and participation.

• Engage community organizations through group volunteer activities.

• Use online platforms to share information about volunteer activities and opportunities.

• Provide the development department with a broad variety of administrative support including; mailings, reports, research funding opportunities, prospect research, etc.

• Participate in all Unity House Development and PR events and coordinate volunteers for events.

  Requirements:

  Associate’s degree and one year experience working with the public preferred . High School Diploma or GED with two years experience working with the public required . Must have experience working with Excel, MS Office and PowerPoint applications. Valid NYS driver license required. Reliable transportation is required. Experience working with non-profits a plus. Please be comfortable speaking in front of small groups.
