Essential Functions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support leadership in the development of the long-term strategic plan, leveraging a combination of market and internal intelligence.

  • Create multi-year modeling of key industries, segments, and regions that support strategic decision making both in organic and inorganic growth efforts.

  • Utilize advanced analytics techniques to segment customers based on behavior, demographics, and other relevant attributes to inform various targeting strategies.

  • Provide fundamental research of markets where Newpark currently or could potentially operate, including macro analysis of markets / industries and deep-dive research into potential targets and/or strategic partners.

  • Assist in identification, development, and implementation of knowledge systems and related processes to drive clarity of vision for Newpark’s growth strategy.

  • Perform special studies, design and deliver models, and collect data as requested by leadership to support the refinement of Newpark’s investment thesis.

  • Support evaluation of new markets for expansion, to include new market segments, customers, and value propositions/lines of business.

  • Understand context of commercial contracts and growth initiatives as they relate to Newpark’s overall corporate strategy.

  • Understand competitive shifts in the market, analyze the impact on the business positioning and recommend strategic adjustments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, product, and finance, to align on key performance metrics and strategic priorities.

  • Maintain knowledge systems by monitoring industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance including Marketing, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 3+ years of applicable experience, including marketing analytics, data analysis, and quantitative analysis, preferably in the retail, equity research or e-commerce industries.

  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation techniques, predictive modeling, and statistical methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.

  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelors Degree (educational equivalent), or 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of education, AND 8 years experience in Marketing, Sales or Operations. Thorough understanding of customer requirements and market conditions. Thorough understanding of products and systems. Good business acumen. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment.

Position Summary

Develops and implements strategic and tactical marketing plans for introduction of business into new geographic area and/or introduction of new business into already established area. May facilitate the formation of alliances or joint ventures. Assures strategies are consistent with overall objectives for the organization. Prioritizes product opportunities to maximize sales and profits. Monitors and evaluates programs and expenditures. May supervise personnel. Handles special projects, as assigned.
