A typical day for the Technical product managers will include: Global Data Sciences (GDS) is the largest group in PayPal’s Strategy, Data and Growth organization. GDS is in charge of implementing unique, best-of-breed fraud-detection algorithms using cutting-edge technologies, and delivering systems which are highly available, scalable, distributed, and process data at web scale to aid in detecting and preventing all forms of fraud and risk affecting the PayPal $300B payments network. We are looking for Technical product managers to help innovate and execute product initiatives from an ideation to release. As a Product Manager you will work with teams of engineers, designers and Data scientists to define state-of-the-art, large scale Infrastructures and Tools. What does Success Look Like?

In your role as a Technical product managers, you will:

  • Lead products lifecycle from ideation through technical development, and launch.

  • Define product scope, capabilities, KPI’s

  • Build and maintain a product backlog and roadmap.

  • Lead project management including managing development sprints and backlog prioritization.

  • Work closely with designers to design the UX of new/existing products.

  • Work with Engineering and Data Science teams from requirements to successful delivery of features and capabilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to determine customer and business needs.

  • Design, coordinate and execute pilots, prototypes or proof of concepts to evalue new technologies and frameworks

About You

  • 3+ years experience as a technical Product manager

  • Demonstrated successful record in defining product vision, strategy and roadmap

  • Tech savvy which loves to stay on top of industry trends

  • Machine learning and big data analytics experience – a plus

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – written and verbal

  • Innovative, entrepreneurial, ability to multi-task

  • Ability to push ideas and influence decision making in a collaborative manner

  • Experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces

  • Highly motivated, goal driven, Can-do approach, curious and open minded
