The Opportunity

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in contributing to the success of our business and making a difference in our infrastructure solutions business. Primarily the role is to support our Water Market projects, but will also work in Defence and Transport sectors.

You’ll collaborate closely with both the design and construction teams, aiming to create harmonised and cost-effective electrical designs that seamlessly integrate into our projects. Additionally, you’ll assume full responsibility for coordinating and preparing high-quality systems engineering documentation, including digital engineering deliverables. Clear communication will be essential as you craft technically sound and well-written proposals and reports.

Supporting the sales leader, you’ll identify and nurture business opportunities, contributing significantly to our growth. Vigilantly monitoring costs to ensure alignment with predetermined budgets, you’ll play a vital role in project success. Simultaneously, maintaining and strengthening client relationships while staying informed about industry trends will be crucial for exceptional service delivery.

Your expertise will drive our projects forward, ensuring excellence in electrical engineering and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the design team and construction team to develop coordinated and cost effective designs

  • Full responsibility for the coordination and preparation of quality & systems engineering documentation as well as digital engineering deliverables

  • Prepare technically sound, well written proposals and reports

  • Support the sales leader to develop business opportunities

  • Monitor costs and ensure they don’t exceed the predetermined, approved budgets

  • Maintain and develop client relationships and industry knowledge

    Who are you?

    To be considered for the role you must have the below qualifications and experience.

  • B.Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years experience (note varying levels of experience for various DM roles)

  • Design and practical experience in an operating environment (either maintenance or construction)

  • Technical design background is preferable

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of commercial arrangements and relationships

  • Chartered status is preferred
