Amazon Business Contracts Manager, APJ Business Contracts Management in Sydney, Australia

Governmental organizations also look to and depend on AWS for cloud solutions and services.

We have an immediate opening for a Contracts Manager to support the AWS Worldwide Public Sector team across Australia. The position will have a strong focus on pre and post-award contract management. Responsibilities will include: maintaining contractual opportunities; assisting in record management; and, creating procedures, methods, and operating practices.

You will participate in and oversee group reviews of all customer contractual and purchase documents, coordinate legal activities for contract/agreement negotiation, and support the competitive bid process in reviewing RFPs and enabling contract compliance. You will maintain contract records/files and manage, track, and insure adherence to all contractual obligations. You will also support the sales team in educating government contracting officials on AWS cloud services and advising them on contracting issues and approaches to cloud computing with respect to commercial terms and conditions as well as acquisition policy and regulations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Australian government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
