Meta Data Analyst, Financial Efficiency Data Analytics in Sunnyvale, California

Summary:

Meta Analytics Operations protects people and businesses and preserves voice and economic opportunity for the people and businesses that use Meta’s platforms. As a horizontal analytics team, the Financial Efficiency Data Analytics team enables Global Operations to make data-informed decisions by serving as analytics thought-partners to solve operational business problems. We employ a diverse toolkit of rigorous analytical approaches to guide teams using data and insight.In this role, you won’t simply present data, but tell data-driven stories. You will influence operations and product decisions using clear insights and recommendations, develop data-driven investment strategies to optimize operational outcomes, and collaborate with a diverse set of cross-functional partners to identify, quantify, and solve GO's biggest challenges. This work utilizes one of the largest data sets in the world and drives high-stakes outcomes that impact billions of people on and off the platform. Required Skills:

Data Analyst, Financial Efficiency Data Analytics Responsibilities:

  1. Apply quantitative skills and incorporate qualitative insights to inform and influence strategy for Global Operations

  2. Partner with Operations, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to identify and execute against opportunities that increase operational efficiency and effectiveness

  3. Develop scalable analytics solutions that provide the essential insights around budget spent, ROI measurement, and efficiency needed to support data-driven decision making

  4. Drive forecasting, scenario planning, and predictive analytics to optimize the community and business impact of our operational expenditures

  5. Translate business objectives into actionable analyses, clearly communicating technical concepts and operational implications to varied audiences

  6. Identify metric trends and insights for business reviews to provide leadership visibility into operational expenditure and performance against desired outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.A./B.S. degree with a quantitative focus in Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics, or a similar technical field

  2. 5+ years of work experience in an analytics role involving strategy, problem solving, and/or technical systems

  3. Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment, while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders

  4. Experience communicating effectively to technical and non-technical audiences

  5. Experience using analytics to break down ambiguous, complex problems using data and influence solutions

  6. Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R)

  1. Experience working in an online operations or trust & safety organization

  2. Experience developing data pipelines via SQL and Python-based ETL frameworks

  3. Familiarity with internet policy and regulatory environments

  4. Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, Applied Economics or similar technical field) or equivalent practical experience

Public Compensation:

$124,000/year to $176,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
