Job Description:

Position Summary

Our business is looking to recruit an experienced Vice President/Director level trader in our Singapore office. The individual will be an integral member of our global AUD/NZD trading team that currently has traders in Singapore and London. The trader will report functionally to the head of AUD/NZD trading who is based in Singapore.

The ideal candidate will possess strong competency in market making across AU/NZ fixed income and interest rates products, governments, SSA bonds and interest rates swaps. Experience in Cross currency trading will also be a benefit. We are looking to hire a team player to work closely with DCM and FI sales teams globally to build and maintain existing franchises.

Role

  • Primary responsibility to support our Bond & Swap market making activity, with the scope to build out an Asset Swap Business.

  • To work closely with the various internal stakeholders, support teams and quants to build and maintain pricing models and risk management tools.

  • To support the firm's electronic market making platform for swaps & cash

  • To work closely with the rest of the team and provide back up support and assistance with risk management as and when needed.

  • The role is based in Singapore and will be part of a team responsible for trading G10 rates derivatives for the APAC region.

Skills & Requirements

  • University degree, preferably in Finance, mathematics, or technology/engineering

  • AUD FI experience across ACGBs, IRS, XCCY, Semi and SSAs

  • NZD FI exposure to governments IRS, XCCY and SSA beneficial

  • Flow trading background and ability to build/maintain a franchise.

  • Ability to work across regions and markets and global colleagues from DCM and FI Sales

  • Cover for colleagues on other FI products on the desk as necessary.

  • Willingness to work Sydney hours in Singapore
