The Senior Counsel, Global Investigations, will be part of the GE HealthCare Litigation & Investigations team, which has overall responsibility for global GE HealthCare litigation, internal and external investigations, and dispute resolution efforts.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and conduct global privileged investigations, primarily in the APAC region, including interviews, research, documentation, presentation preparation, and data analysis

  • Reporting investigation findings and recommendations on remediation and corrective actions to various stakeholders, including GEHC senior leadership

  • Coordinate investigation resources and support with international colleagues in the GEHC Global Law & Policy team

  • Provide cross-functional support to the Compliance function to (1) identify emerging issues and trends; (2) assess risk; (3) define policy and process improvements; and (4) support training initiatives

  • Brief and develop investigative plans and strategy with Executive Counsel, Investigations, located in Singapore, Global Chief Litigation & Investigations Counsel, and other team members

  • Drive efficiencies and cost reduction in investigative matter management, including budgeting for external counsel and forensic/discovery-related needs

  • Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization. has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor/Law Degree, with min. 8-10 years PQE

  • Experience with government investigations, including but not limited to investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice, Securities Exchange Commission, or international counterparts

  • Investigations experience in one or more of the following areas: Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)/other anti-corruption laws; healthcare fraud and abuse laws; intellectual property theft/economic espionage; financial frauds; public procurement law; and/or antitrust or competition laws

  • Accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting

  • Ability to direct and manage relationships and budgets with outside counsel

  • Prioritization skills and ability to drive projects to conclusion

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a global environment

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and globally as appropriate

Desired Characteristics

  • Substantial experience in conducting and managing highly-sensitive internal corporate investigations

  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast-paced environment

  • High level of cultural sensitivity, flexibility, and emotional intelligence in order to work effectively in a multicultural environment

  • Being open to change in response to new information and different or unexpected circumstances

  • Established project management skills
