Paypal is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst/Manager (FP&A) to join the organization CBT team in Singapore. The FP&A Analyst/Manager will be responsible for an exceptionally broad range of activities including planning, reporting, forecasting, investment analysis and performance monitoring. The individual will a business partner to the various leadership members on providing key insights into revenue trends and managing operating expense budgets. The role will be the conduit of communication between the global FP&A team and the stakeholders across CBT. The individual dig deep into the data including non-financial metrics to determine the causes of trends, identifying anomalies, spotting opportunities etc. and translating those into tangible and actionable recommendations.
We are open to hiring at either Analyst/Manager level, depending on skillsets and experience level of the chosen individual.
Developing the financial strategy and forecasting future performance, including determining the optimal financial architecture to deliver maximum value to customers and shareholders
Annual and quarterly budgeting financial planning, target setting, and reporting for Revenue and Operating Expenses
Updating key financial models and creating new financial models from scratch – including but not limited to Customer Cohort models, pricing models, deal models, etc.
Preparing and reviewing performance metrics and various financial analyses
Business partner to the sales leader on all initiatives and helping the teams to articulate business cases in financial terminology
Analysis of business performance, including creating insight into customer behavior and site performance, business and project performance, pricing opportunities, etc.
Leading the quarterly target setting process, ensuring proper use of resources (expenses, people), as well as ensuring proper return on investment by business lever
Interface between business leaders and the International FP&A team. Articulate key drivers of business performance to finance leaders across the globe
Create and deliver presentations for various financial and business reviews
Communicate complex concepts and the results of the analyses with clear and effective communication and visualization to senior leadership
Manage multiple priorities through solid Project Management practices
Qualifications, skills & experience
5-12 years of experience in Financial Planning preferably in technology or payments industry or Consulting/Investment banking experience
Bachelors in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field. Additional business qualifications like MBA/CFA/CPA
Experience in Essbase and SAP BPC in addition to strong Excel, PowerPoint, Think-cell and preferably SQL skills and ability to create Excel Macros.
High energy and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and frequent context shifting
Desire to work with ambiguity and passion for problem solving
Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large
Specific experience with payments, internet or eCommerce company is preferred
Attention to detail and demonstrated analytical skills
Ability to think creatively and work independently
