Primary Job Responsibilities As part of the Risk Decision Platform team, the team identifies the opportunities that could improve the users’ experience when they seek help from PayPal, based on data driven analysis; and work with other teams to provide the solution and then turn the idea into reality.

We are seeking an engineer working on solutions to improve the entire PayPal customer interaction experience, from identifying the problem to implement the solution. The candidate is expected to have solid programming skills, good problem solving skill, be curious and keep questioning about the existing system.

• Develop highly available, testable, scalable, monitor-able components using primarily Java • Work with Risk Analysts to identify fraud attacks, develop solution and implementation • Conduct design and code reviews, fix bugs, monitor and resolve production issues • Work effectively with globally distributed teams in multiple different time zones

Qualification & Requirements • 2-6 years working experience, preferably in an Internet company • 2+ years’ experience in Java development (or C++) • Ability to work independently, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to deliver within strict time frames • Self-driven, eager to learn new skills in both technology and analysis areas • Experience in both SQL and non-SQL database is a plus • Good communication skills in both Chinese and English
