The Compliance Monitoring & Global Data Analytics Senior Manager role reports to the IMT China Leader with a dotted line to the Global Data Analytics IMT Leader. This position would engage in monitoring for China and data analytics. In addition, investigations work would be required as needed.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor current China and global emerging risks within the subject areas, especially for commercial transaction related risks and Improper Payment related risks.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of GE HealthCare compliance policies, procedures, controls, systems and processes.

  • Strategically evaluate monitoring priorities in China and give input on the structure and strategy of monitoring tasks in China.

  • Based on previous findings and observations and expertise in the area, utilize company data and system resources to develop the monitoring / audit plan for compliance related issues.

  • Assist in the discovery of data for use in monitoring by developing an expertise in the company’s data landscape.

  • Develop new methods and new approaches to focus the execution of monitoring tasks on high-risk data.

  • Produce clear, concise, relevant and timely monitoring/audit reports. Keep track of monitoring activity planning, scoping, work performed, key findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

  • As needed, and in partnership with global and regional compliance and other stakeholders, coordinate and/or execute corrective actions arising from investigations and audit/monitoring findings.

  • As needed, support to build up digital compliance solutions to drive proactive compliance engagement or facilitate investigation execution.

  • Play a strategic role in IMT’s data analytics group, using new technologies to develop additional monitoring strategies.

  • Exhibit expert domain knowledge about data analytics design and execution.

  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge of the use of data analytics in monitoring.

  • Help develop a data strategy for IMT that will be consistent with the data strategy in the rest of the company.

  • Act as a data analytics resource for others on the IMT team.

  • As needed, conduct and complete investigations in a thorough and timely manner.

  • Support other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree preferred but not required; medical device industry experience is strongly preferred.

  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in compliance, law, internal audit, or controllership in a global business environment, including experience in review/audit/monitoring of one or more of the following areas: bribery/corruptions/other improper payments, conflicts of interest, intellectual property loss, falsified documents/manipulated financial or operational records, procurement fraud and potential violation of competition laws.

  • Prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and drive projects to conclusion. Strong sense of urgency with a demonstrated record of meeting commitments despite pressure.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Mandarin and English.

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and data processing skills, with proven ability to clearly and concisely prepare, present, analyze, and discuss findings and recommendations at a senior level and produce a clear and compelling report.

  • Strong Word, Power Point and Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP’s, pivots) skills. Ability of data processing and utilization. Strong visualization skills by using Tableau, Power BI and the like.

  • Process and detail-oriented; strong organizational skills. Demonstrated strong process and/or project management skills.

  • Proven analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Expertise in the use of data analytics and monitoring in medical device companies.

  • Highest personal integrity with demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters in a discreet and respectful manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and inspire trust.
