PayPal Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Team is looking for a Systems Engineer that will be responsible for infrastructure in the PayPal production environment. The individual will be work with a team of engineers on SKU evaluation, development and certification to support Nutanix Hyper-converged deployment patterns. The job includes engineering, deployment and L3 support of production services.
5+ years experience working in a large-scale production environment
Experience with engineering and supporting Nutanix Hyper-converged deployment patterns
Experience with hardware component testing and certification
Experience with Cobbler or other bare metal provisioning solutions
Experience in developing and deploying “rack ‘n roll” system integrated solutions
Experience with Shell, Perl, Python
Experience with Linux configuration and performance tuning
Experience with systems configuration management and CI automation
Experience with OpenStack and Containers
Strong communication and documentation skills
