We’re looking for strong JavaScript skills and solid real-world experience. Previous work on a tools or platform team would be helpful, but certainly isn’t required. You will need to be able to architect & build solutions to problems with little guidance from others. The entire web stack is being revisited, so we’re seeking candidates with a strong (node.js) server background as well as those with more front-end experience. Folks strong in either area are welcome to apply.

The candidate should have great communication skills and ideally past experience working with a distributed team. Experience managing or contributing to open-source projects would come in handy, so would any kind of high-profile work with many contributors & customers. People will look up to you on this team, so experience mentoring and teaching would be helpful.

This position is available at either our San Francisco or San Jose campus. At our San Jose campus you will find two onsite cafes and an outdoor bar. Day to Day Responsibilities :

• Write and test web application code following best practices of accessibility, internationalization and interaction

• Perform code reviews to drive teams to the highest standards for NodeJS apps and web apps

• Partner closely with design and product stakeholders

• Work with tooling and platform teams to provide innovation and solutions for analytics, experimentation and quality

• Deliver code in an Agile team environment

• Follow and be a strong advocate for clean code principles

• Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development

• Experience with tracking and analytics a plus

Required Technical Skills:

• Passionate about customer focus, with the understanding of business impact to drive the system improvements

• Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web.

• Strong JavaScript / Node skills

• Experience in UI frameworks like React, Backbone, Angular etc.

• Be able to mentor junior developers within the team

• Deliver code in an agile team environment.

• Assist with application deployments in our Cloud environment.

• Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns
