PayPal’s Web Engineering Team supports all NodeJS development at PayPal;
Building/documenting/supporting secure, performant NodeJS frameworks and components
Applying proven development principles (, , , , and )
Working closely with PayPal’s large NodeJS developer community
Evangelizing and presenting internally and at outside industry events like , DockerCon, , , JSConf and more

Building proofs-of-concept (POC) with fellow engineers and stakeholders

Have a high personal bar for software excellence
Have production experience with NodeJS at scale
Use open-source methodologies and tools
Have a strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others
Have experience with test automation: TDD, unit/integration/functional testing
Will collaborate across functional areas
Will base technical decisions on facts, data, and existing context
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in CS or applicable code academy degree
