Core Platform and Infrastructure (CPI) team is the technology engine that powers PayPal’s business.   • Own and drive the product vision and roadmap for Node.js Middleware infrastructure

  • Be the customer champion for thousands of PayPal developers around the world.

  • Be informed of Node.js ecosystem evolution in industry, and drive roadmap development to meet or beat industry standard experience

  • Play the Product Owner role in a development process following Agile methodology

  • Identify KPI’s for measuring customer success, and drive positive change in these KPI’s over time

  • Develop Go to Market plans, to include marketing materials, training aids and track success of rollout

  • Provide timely and appropriate communication to stakeholders, and customers on product roadmaps and capabilities

  • Work cross-functionally to obtain stakeholder buy in, facilitate timely execution and manage and meet customer expectations

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the product management of highly available and scalable products, used by software developers 

  • Extensive knowledge of Node.js ecosystem technologies is required, additional experience with polyglot language stacks preferred 

  • Strong drive and passion to leverage open source technologies and contribute back to open source

  • Expert level knowledge and practice of Agile Scrum development process

  • Demonstrated experience working in a large, complex, global organization—ability to effectively work and communicate across organizational lines 

  • High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously 

  • Excellent written, presentation, and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences 

  • BS in Engineering, CS and/or equivalent industry experience 

  • 10+ years of experience working in internet software development

  • 5+ years of experience in product management of a developer-focused product
