Work you'll do:
The M&A Case Analyst will play a critical role in conducting research and analysis of domestic investment transactions that may pose a national security risk. The incumbent will undertake a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Applying security requirements to assess targeted risks from an anticompetitive/antitrust perspective
Conducting data analysis and data management, market and financial analysis, and operations research analysis
Analyzing market trends and industrial base capacity to improve future assessments and investments for building industrial base resilience long-term
Conducting market analysis on key strategic and critical materials by tracking trends, identifying risks, and proposing mitigating solutions, including changes in policies, establishing market incentives, and potential investment strategies
Analyzing relevant markets to identify trends and their potential to affect the ability to develop, acquire, and maintain current and future systems, platforms, and other capabilities
Identifying, analyzing, and utilizing data on the industrial base to increase visibility and direct strategic decision-making
Providing support to senior leadership on investment decisions and market trends
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Private equity and hedge fund research, financial modeling, market, and financial analysis
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Candidate must be based in the Washington, DC area with the flexibility to work on client site as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of supply chain risk management practices and ability to use research tools to conduct value chain analysis
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team, collaborating seamlessly with others and taking direction from the project management team
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
5+ years of experience providing support to senior leadership on investment decisions and market trends
