Title: Data Scientist I

Location: Redmond, WA

Duration: 12+ months contract

Pay Range $45 to $50/hr.

We are looking for a “Data Scientist I” to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Summary:

The Data Scientist is responsible for coordinating changes to computer databases, testing, and implementing database systems, and applying knowledge of database management systems. They will work with senior management, technical teams, and clients to determine data requirements, implement best practices for data manipulation and storage, and design and maintain enterprise data ETL processes. The Data Scientist will also modify existing databases, test programs, and provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support.

Candidate Requirements:

• Years of Experience Required: 1-2 years of experience.

• Degrees or Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

• Disqualifiers: Lack of clear examples of impact listed on resume and less than 15 months of access

• Best vs. Average: Ideal candidates would have experience with SQL, Power BI, and scripting languages.

• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on the quality of work, feedback from the team, and ability to find data insights to improve job performance.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:

• Data Analysis Skills - Strong in Querying - SQL, Kusto (0-2 years of experience)

• Data Visualization - Power BI, Python (0-2 years of experience)

• Statistics and Modeling - Basic understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, AB experimentation, and using statistical packages in R/Python for modeling (0-2 years of experience)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

• 0-2 years of applicable experience

• Experience with database technologies

• Knowledge of the ETL process

• Knowledge of at least one scripting language

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated history of success

• Desire to work with data and help businesses make data-driven decisions
