Position Summary

Own and execute enterprise-wide data analytics governance and quality roadmap and implement it through engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Define & Roll out an enterprise-wide data analytics governance and quality framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture

  • Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for data stewardship of the AEIs Data Assets

  • Act as a liaison between Business and technology stakeholders to ensure that business data requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and implemented in systems

  • Design, develop, and maintain an enterprise data catalog as a centralized repository of metadata, enabling users to discover, understand, and access data assets, thereby improving data governance and data-driven decision making

  • Define and implement data quality management and governance process into Data Engineering Lifecycle via the data platforms to make sure data is accurate, complete, timely, and consistent with the business’s requirements

  • Define KPIs to monitor the results and effectiveness of the Data Governance initiative.

  • Develop and Implement Data Quality measures like Profiling, Defining Metrics, Scorecards, Standards, security policies, and visual analytics to support Data Governance initiatives

  • Define target operating model, framework on data management pillars and define roles and responsibilities related to data governance.

  • Works closely with the Internal Audit (SOX) and ITGC team to establish a working structureand ensure adherence to both data protection regulation and compliance policies

  • Accountable for data quality while working with the data & analytics teams to identify quality issues and develop appropriate actions and measurement to enhance data quality

  • Create set of standardized, documented, and repeatable processes to support data management, data security, and access control

  • Create standards and controls to govern data collection, storage, usability, flow and retention in data and analytics platforms

  • Define who is accountable for what activities to streamline data workflow and address issues regarding risk management

  • Develop appropriate policies, data definitions, business glossaries, and compliance requirements

  • Assess and implement the right data tools and applications to automate data governance and quality procedures

  • Create comprehensive data glossary containing the definition of each data attribute, data domain, and data owner for maintaining data quality and metadata management, along with data flows for tracking data lineage

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.·

  • Minimum of 10+ years of data quality and governance implementation experience manufacturing, engineering, supply chain domains with large-scale data management and oversight experience.

  • 5 years in a senior management role, with transformation leadership experience balanced with technological experience

  • Knowledge of at least one industry-standard Data Governance framework or data management practice, such as DAMA-DMBOK or DGI, is required

  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise data assets and approaches related to data protection

  • Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
