A non-profit 501(c)(3), Dorcas International offers adult education, language learning, job training, employment services, citizenship and immigration services, refugee resettlement, clothing and household needs, and more.

The Workforce Development Manager is part of the Client Services Management team. The candidate will oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of the agencys employment and training programs including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and reporting program activities. The candidate will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of all employment services in the agency, including planning programs and services, hiring, training, supervising, and coaching staff. They will develop, revise, and implement written procedures for program operations including program purpose, expected goals, and outcomes; update workforce training curriculum and workshops; assist in the writing/production of grant and data reports; and direct how services are offered and documented. They will also assist with identifying growing industries for partnership opportunities and identifying and maintaining relationships with external partners. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with Education Managers and Employment Counselors to create a program calendar that supports the seamless integration of employment services into existing adult education classes.

The candidate should have the following: Bachelors degree. Masters degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred At least one year of administrative experience 2-4 years of Supervision experience Prior experience as volunteer or teacher of adult students Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google and other web-based platforms; database use and management Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills, possession of patience, diplomacy, and tolerance Ability to relate well to clients, staff and partners Excellent leadership skills Knowledgeable of adult education and workforce training Effective people management skills Supervisory skills, including ability to manage workload and staff Ability to develop new ways to improve operations and to create new opportunities Ability to anticipates understands and respond to the needs of students and fellow staff in order to meet or exceed their expectations Ability to manipulate and manage data, reports and documents
