Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our dynamic team and revolutionize our capacity planning and cube planning strategies. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of the Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) network, directly contributing to the profitability of our consumer businesses.

As a key member of the Supply Chain Innovation organization, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that optimize inventory orchestration, network design, connectivity, and labor planning. Your expertise in advanced supply chain modeling techniques, coupled with your strong analytical skills and customer-centric mindset, will enable you to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the seller experience within the AWD network.

Key job responsibilities

Develop and execute long-term capacity planning strategies to support AWD growth

Create and implement advanced supply chain modeling techniques for inventory optimization

Utilize data-driven insights to drive efficiency and cost reduction

Lead the development of cube planning strategies to maximize space utilization

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer obsession

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, focusing on capacity planning, inventory optimization, and network design

  • Proven expertise in advanced supply chain modeling techniques (optimization algorithms, simulation, machine learning)

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools

  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, offering advanced knowledge and strategic thinking skills pertinent to high-level supply chain challenges.

  • Professional certifications related to supply chain management, such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), which demonstrate a commitment to the field and an understanding of global supply chain operations.

  • Experience in digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain, leveraging AI, machine learning, and IoT technologies to drive operational efficiency and innovation.

  • Proven success in managing complex cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, global environment, highlighting leadership in navigating organizational complexities and driving results.

  • Deep understanding of global supply chain networks, including risk management, regulatory compliance, and international trade practices.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in predictive analytics, scenario planning, and decision-making based on data-driven insights.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
