Job Description

A large manufacturing client of Insight Global's is actively seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Business Intelligence team on a remote basis and report directly to the Director of Business Intelligence. This individual will be the main person overseeing the design, implementation, and execution of data ingestion, will be working heavily within multiple azure data platforms, and will supervise the entire lifecycle of development projects. The day-to-day will be very dependent on what the business wants/needs are. However, a large part of the day-to-day will include developing and deploying scalable data pipelines, various ETL jobs, extracting and integrating data into various data lakes and the data warehouse. An ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple ERP platforms and be strong in creating data models from Microsoft Dynamic's 365 F&O core tables. This role is technical and hands on but also comes with project management aspects in the sense of taking ownership and overseeing certain aspects of several projects.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related

• 3-5 years of experience designing and implementing data pipelines

• Experience managing multiple ERP Platforms like Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP

• Experience developing and maintaining complex SQL/P-SQL queries and scripts

• Experience with Azure Data Platforms

• Hands on Snowflake knowledge - Experience within a manufacturing company

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related

• Strong experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Microsoft Power Platform)

• Understanding of data governance strategies

• Proficient in Python

• Familiarity with DBT Cloud

• Project Management skills null
