Location: Park City, UT
Status: Part-time
Hours: Every other weekday, 11 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (MTECH follows the Park City High School "White Days" schedule).
Pay / Hourly: DOE
SUMMARY
As a Nurse Assistant Instructor, your role is to instruct and prepare CNA students for licensure. You will help students acquire the knowledge and skills they need to provide exceptional patient care and promote the development of professional attitudes and behaviors. NURSE ASSISTANT (CNA) RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide effective instruction and facilitate student learning for the program.
Work with other faculty and administrators to build and/or maintain curriculum with clear learning objectives. This includes textbook and software selection.
Prepare and follow course syllabi
Develop and/or maintain lesson plans for classroom and lab activities.
Create supplemental instructional materials
Emphasize employment as the central goal of the program
Teach and require safety as a regular daily component of skill practice
Schedule, supervise, debrief, and evaluate students in lab, clinical, externship, or other work-based learning activities
NURSE ASSISTANT (CNA) QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
The Primary Instructor must be a licensed nurse with a current, active Utah License to practice and is in good standing with the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.
Must have 3 years nursing experience, at leas one year in long-term facility services or caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age.
The ability to successfully interact with high school and adult students and the general public in a professional manner.
Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.
Working knowledge and skill of up-to-date methods and techniques.
