NBC Universal Designer, Product Development-Parks in Orlando, Florida

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for creating and designing products through the development process implementation to deliver compelling, creative and innovative product that support the Brand vision.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To design from concept through final samples/production in fashion, accessories & home. Proficient in drawing/illustration (including character poses, expressions, and turnarounds), design, perspective, and composition. A solid understanding of 2D to 3D translations.

  • To prepare all necessary components for design presentations and product review meeting preparations. Develop design/mood boards, illustrations, and product POVs based on seasonal trends, themes, color, raw materials, and styling.

  • To support product approval meetings to ensure submissions are reviewed by all necessary parties, appropriate feedback/approvals are gathered, be the expert in all creative assets to provide accurate PD feedback, and turnaround times are met within the appropriate time frame. Prepare detailed recap notes from key meetings and share with the team.

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in product design, graphic design or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years Product Development experience required with experience in development and manufacturing of fashion, accessories, home, and hardline; 3-D Generalists Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Fully proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Ability to use keynote, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Online system product approval.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to take clear direction.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, deadline driven environment that revolves around multiple product development calendars.

  • Highly organized, proactive-self-starter with a strong attention to detail

Ability to work well in fast- based dynamic environment and able to multi-task.

  • Solution oriented and resourceful in troubleshooting issues

  • Vocal at Creative meetings
