Dynocardia, Inc Junior Researcher / Engineer in Newton, Massachusetts

Dynocardia is a company based in Newton and Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was founded by a team of engineers and physicians from MIT and Tufts Medical School. The company\'s primary focus is to develop a solution to a 100-year-old challenge: an accurate and continuous, non-invasive blood pressure monitor. To achieve this goal, Dynocardia has created a wrist wearable device called ViTrack?, which utilizes computer vision and artificial intelligence to measure continuous blood pressure and other vital parameters. This device is helpful in remote patient monitoring, which is critical for hospital patient care. It also aids in the correct diagnosis and management of hypertension and other chronic diseases through telehealth. Dynocardia has partnered with prestigious hospitals and is conducting clinical studies at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, and the Mayo Clinic. Besides private funding, the company has received multiple federal grants from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation and awards from physician organizations such as the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. Job Description We seek individuals interested in digital health and medical technology who are dynamic and eager to learn and apply new skills. Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Full time Education Required BS or MS in at least one of the following fields Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computational Mathematics, or another related field Years of Experience 0+ years of experience with a Bachelor\'s degree 0+ years of experience with a Master\'s degree or higher Required qualifications Strong knowledge and experience with at least one of the following tools/languages SAS, R, and Python. Hands-on in one of the Analytical techniques - Descriptive/Predictive/Prescriptive. Good understanding of one or more of the following subject areas: Algorithms and Data Structures, Computer Architecture, System Architecture, Microprocessors, Object Oriented Programming, Statistics, Signals and Systems. A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. Experience with Agile and iterative development practices is preferred. Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Additional beneficial attributes Experience visualizing and presenting data to stakeholders. Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++ and Java. Experience creating and using data mining, machine learning algorithms, and statistics such as random forest, regression, simulation, modeling, clustering, decision trees, etc. Clinical or medical background is highly preferred. Experience creating and managing large datasets in a structured database like SQL, MongoDB, etc. Experience implementing and managing solutions on the cloud. AWS experience is a bonus.
