Summary:
Deploy & support donated goods retail technology including point-of-sale & e-commerce. Support the proper operation & security of the point-of-sale (POS) system terminals, database, & servers. Support devices such as printers, scanners, & credit card terminals. Install & support workstations & IP telephones on a network. Travel to branch offices & retail facilities as required. Provide training & resolve concerns using help desk ticketing, remote control software, telephone, & email. Support mailboxes & Teams groups, SharePoint sites, & team member engagement apps. Support Microsoft Office 365 apps, Azure apps, & other hosted cloud services. Support local networks & wireless network access. Must successfully pass driver record & background check.
Education &/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or four years work experience relating to the support & maintenance of computers, peripherals, retail technology, Windows applications, & the end-user.
Computer Skills:
Requires experience working in a Microsoft Windows enterprise networking environment. Must be proficient in Windows server administration & Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to quickly learn business applications & communication tools. Must be able to build & repair computer systems. Must be able to install & configure displays, printers, copiers, & scanners. Will demonstrate the ability to create active directory accounts & mailboxes after instruction. Must be proficient in Point-of-Sale systems support, network support, & data center support. Able to use & support VMware vSphere & Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machines & host systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Microsoft application certifications & network system certifications are preferred. Travel required using company &/or personal vehicle. Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, & proof of personal auto insurance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
Provide after hours, on-call support as needed. Weekend hours will be required.
Install Microsoft Windows, business applications, communications software, & system drivers.
Configure, install, & maintain all POS & e-commerce systems & related peripherals including credit card terminals, registers, printers, scanners etc.
Support the installation & operation of video surveillance systems including recording devices, physical connections, cameras, & software.
Perform installation, configuration, & upgrades of software programs for POS & E-commerce.
Create & configure computer accounts, user accounts, & retail operations security levels.
Support all Facility's computing systems, including E-commerce, POS, bar-code tagging, shipping/receiving, donor services, & book scanning.
Support of IT network connection closets, ensuring physical security, physical connections, & power distribution.
Configure & maintain the E-commerce & POS servers as well as their associated workstations.
Maintain all communications between the retail locations & the host servers & E-commerce cloud applications.
Provide required written documentation & recordkeeping.
