This position offers the right challenges to support and improve TEs' Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability efforts as part of the Global Facilities and Construction Management Organization.

As part of the Facilities team, you will be joining a team of professionals who are passionate about ensuring the future growth of the business while maintaining integrity, taking accountability, working together, and continually improving to provide constant innovation and openness to change.

Reporting to the Facilities Director, you will lead a global team and provide environmental, health, and safety guidance to our Global Facilities and Construction Team. TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes applying and communicating health, safety, and hazardous material standards, procedures, and practices consistent with TE, environmental, and government regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the environmental, health, and safety leader for the Facilities and Construction Management Organization.

  • Lead and mentor a high-functioning EHS team from various global regions.

  • Be innovative and bring new technologies and ideas to improve our EHS programs continuously.

  • Lead environmental, health, and safety issues at multiple sites simultaneously, including multi-tenant campuses across the globe.

  • In association with function leadership, departmental environmental, health, and safety policies should be set.

  • Contribute to the Corporate EHS Council, representing all Global Facilities and Construction Management.

  • Assist with project reviews from an environmental, health, and safety viewpoint.

  • Respond and assist with building and site emergencies.

  • Conduct formal and systematic reviews of campus operations and activities to determine the applicability of federal, state, local, and TE Connectivity environment regulations and requirements, as well as health and safety rules and requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable environment, health, and safety regulations and requirements. Address root causes and seek closure on audit findings.

  • Engage the operations team to implement and sustain EHS management systems.

  • Facilitate and monitor internal and external inspections and audits such as OSHA, EPA, and TE corporate.

  • Prepare external environmental reports and permit updates for OSHA, RCRA, NPDES, LASA, SARA Tier II, TRI, and air permits.

  • Regularly monitor and report leading and lagging environment, health, and safety key performance indicators.

  • Facilitate risk assessments related to tasks performed (Job Hazard Analysis, Machine Guarding, Ergonomics, PPE, Industrial Hygiene, Non-routine work, etc.), new equipment introductions, and process changes to recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.

  • Facilitate root cause investigations for recordable and environmental incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.

  • Evaluate incidents for trends and introduce, for management consideration, recommendations for new policies and practices.

  • Develop and conduct environmental, health, and safety training.

  • Domestic and international travel is required, up to 25%.

What your background should look like:

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in OHS, IH, or Environmental Science. Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CMM, MESH) are a plus.

  • A minimum of 10 years of EH&S experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing facility or facilities group.

  • Background in a fast-paced environment, simultaneously working on multiple projects that may involve various stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.

  • Strong demonstrated communication, negotiation, influencing, collaboration, and team-building skills are preferred, as is the ability to develop multiple solutions to an issue and make valid recommendations for resolution.

  • Interest in personal and professional growth.

  • Self-driven and able to manage multiple and changing priorities with little direction and supervision.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $121,280 - $181,920 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
