The global sales training organization is a key function in the global sales enablement team, which reports to the global sales operations organization. The organization is responsible for designing, building and executing a sales training plan focused on enabling our PayPal sales teams, across all market segments, for individual contributors and sales management.
The Training Specialist will be responsible for supporting training strategies and delivery to enhance employee performance across several sales and servicing roles. This will include working closely with internal support functions and fellow trainers globally to keep abreast of product and process changes and impacts to the end user. Additional key responsibilities include working on cross functional improvement projects, collaboration with global training team, training needs identification, quality assessment, coaching, and project management.
Responsible for delivering a range of training to a diverse audience: Introduction, New Hire, Sales Methodology, Sales Product, Process & Systems, Soft Skills and ad hoc training deliverables.
Build strategic relationships and partner with key stakeholders & functional business partners to ensure tight alignment on training requirements associated to development, learning & product priorities and initiatives.
Partners with the team coordinator to ensure seamless scheduling and management of all trainings.
Administration, data entry and maintenance of training records and content on Learning Management System.
Collaborate with global L&D team associated to drive alignment and leverage of global training.
Evaluates the effectiveness of training content. Updates and modifies training as needed.
Uses professional concepts, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues significant to the operations of the business. Is expected to have the knowledge and confidence to evaluate possible courses of conduct and propose solutions to moderately difficult business or operational challenges in the normal course of work.
Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on matters of significance to the business.
Responsible for quickly cultivating an understanding of company-wide initiatives, department and PayPal’s industry and the competitive landscape. We need you to be seen as an expert!
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience delivering Sales Training
Proven experience delivering trainings to groups of various size.
Ability to engage learners and foster participation.
Sales enablement, training strategy and execution experience.
Experience delivering trainings using blended delivery models (ILT, Skype etc.).
Strong Collaboration and Partnership skills.
Strong Communication skills.
Strong Project Management & Priority Management Skills.
Experience in curriculum development and adult, corporate learning.
Must be creative, professional, articulate, organized, resourceful, high energy, detail and deadline oriented with the ability to interface with all levels
Required language skills: English, Spanish and Brazilian Portugese
Travel in Latin America required.
5+ years related experience in leading training programs.
Sales role experience a major advantage
Financial Services/Call Center/Sales experience a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Especially PowerPoint)
- BS/BA degree in related field required.
