JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for initial and ongoing due diligence related to Specialty Banking clients and accounts. Performs analysis of account activity as it relates to financial statements. Assists in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships, while providing a superior customer experience.

JOB DUTIES:

Account Monitoring: Perform comprehensive daily and monthly reviews of account activities using advanced analytical tools to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Monitor accounts for unusual or suspicious activity, utilizing pattern detection algorithms and compliance monitoring software. Daily Funding Reviews: Conduct in-depth daily funding reviews, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and adhere to compliance requirements. Background Checks: Execute thorough background and credit checks on new and existing customers using specialized software. Customer Licensing and Verification:  Oversee customer licensing, verification, and renewal processes via state regulatory sites, updating information in the Shield Software. Business Account Applications: Process business account applications within the Shield Engage software, collaborating with Relationship Managers to ensure the accuracy and completion of information.  Review files to ensure all documentation is compliant with banking regulations. LoanVantage Management:  Ensure all customer information is accurately entered into the LoanVantage platform, work closely with the Credit department to facilitate customer approvals. Account Onboarding:  Utilize Xperience software to assign and manage workflows efficiently, ensuring timely completion of tasks.  Act as a backup for the onboarding and opening of Specialty Banking accounts, ensuring a smooth and compliant process and makes recommendations for workflow enhancements to increase organizational efficiency. Case Management: Handle assigned cases within the Shield Software as directed by the Specialty Banking Assistant Manager, documents all finding to ensure thorough investigation and resolution. Escalate violations of regulatory or bank policies to management and the BSA team. Fintech Banking: Maintain industry knowledge & keep abreast of regulatory changes related to several high-risk lines of business to best service customers, promote compliance and risk awareness, and adapt banking practices accordingly. Support various fintech relationships related to cannabis banking, identify, and track any issues to resolution to ensure smooth internal and external customer experience. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, ensuring all activities comply with current standards.  Immediately report and document irregularities in customer activity, maintaining detailed records for compliance and audit purposes. Training and Development:  Participate in ongoing training to further personal and professional development with a focus on BSA compliance and cannabis related banking operations. Additional Duties:  Perform other duties as assigned by the management team, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.  Act as a team player, training, mentoring, and taking on additional responsibilities as needed to support the community banking goals.  

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: College degree or experience equivalent preferred.

Experience: 6 months to 2 years of similar or related experience in banking with a focus on accounting and finance preferred.  

Skills:

Must be a critical thinker using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
