Crane Aerospace and Electronics is seeking a Shipping Inspector at our Lynnwood, WA campus for day shift.

Job Summary:

The Shipping Inspector is a flexible position that performs a variety of responsibilities including reviewing inspected and prepared Space hybrid device documentation for completeness and accuracy, packaging and labeling devices that are ready for shipment, reviewing product holds, releasing picks, providing back up and support to Shipping Coordinator as needed, assisting with preparing shipments for Customer Source Inspection, and assisting IQA Receiving Inspection with inspection as needed.

Essential Functions:

· Review product against the pick slip/ invoice/ QCIR for correct part number, serial number and other internal or Customer requirements called out on the pick slip.

· Release picks and transact pick slips to print shipping documentation.

· Review completed QCI Shipping Inspection device data packs for accuracy and completeness against the QCIR prior to shipment. Work with Production and Quality Engineering to resolve any issues found.

· Following ESD and internal handling precautions, package devices that have passed final inspection and documentation review into ESD safe boxes, prepare and place labels as well as review for accuracy before moving to Shipping.

· Review product holds and non-conformance reports related to product to ensure they have been corrected and closed prior to product shipment. Work with Customer Service and/or Quality Engineering to remove holds and close NCR’s as needed.

· Act as back up for Shipping Coordinator as needed.

· Assist Shipping Coordinator with KAO putaways as well as QCI Shipping Inspection with the preparation of packages and paperwork as well as hosting Final Customer Source Inspection for devices sent to Lynnwood from Kaohsiung.

· Assist IQA Receiving Inspection with simple Commercial off the shelf inspection.

· Train with IQA Receiving Inspection and learn how to inspect headers (body packages) under microscope for external damage per internal quality requirements and Source Control Drawings as needed.

· Manage and maintain excess product stock totes. Pull stock devices for QCI to prepare for shipment as requested.

· Any other task assigned by supervisor or management.

Non-Essential Functions:

· Maintain a clean and safe work area

· Ensure tooling is kept clean and stored in proper location on a daily basis

· Familiar with AS9100 standards

Minimum Qualifications:

· Experience : 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment

· Knowledge : Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills both in business system operation and Windows based productivity tools such as Word and Excel. Knowledge of an ERP system is desired as well as familiarity with AS9100 standards.

· Skills/Abilities : Competence to perform inspections using calipers, thread gages, scales, micro-hite; General PC skills, including Word, Excel and Oracle; Ability to interpret drawings and part specifications; Accurate color vision and depth perception; Vision corrected to 20/20; Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, including interfacing with Order Management, Internal Quality Engineers, Customers and other Internal Management personnel

· Education/Certification : High School diploma or equivalent

· Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in Shipping and/or Receiving Inspection with familiarity of Quality Requirements called out in Purchase Orders in addition to product specifications

· Experience in Aerospace or Space

Working Conditions:

· Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

· Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

· May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes

· Involves handling parts in compliance with Electrostatic Discharge Devices ( ESD procedures )

Salary range: $19.97 to $27.51.
