Boehringer Ingelheim Manager Global HR Investigations in Ingelheim, Germany

The Position

As Manager Global HR Investigations, you will be responsible for conducting HR related investigations, especially into high-risk matters. You will be tasked with acting as a Subject Matter Expert, reviewing and providing guidance on investigations, and developing training programs to ensure investigations are conducted in line with internal processes and industry standards.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As Manager Global HR Investigations, you will provide expertise for HR related internal investigations globally, in order to support the responsible HR functions, in particular for high risk cases and relevant ad-hoc requests in accordance with the relevant standards, policies and procedures.

  • You will assess potential HR non-compliance cases and determine their progression. Also, you will advise on resolutions, assess case merits, and decide if referral to relevant councils or committees is necessary.

  • In your role, you will lead comprehensive HR misconduct investigations, including planning, interviews, and research. Additionally, you'll handle evidence, and coordinate updates and debriefs with relevant parties.

  • In your role, you will interact with the local and global HR functions, the local and global Compliance & Integrity Manager , Global Investigations Office and work in close cooperation with the Senior Manager Global HR Compliance and Investigations.

  • You will be responsible to establish training concepts in cooperation with Global Investigation Office, conduct trainings and knowledge base tools to ensure standards.

  • With your expertise, you will manage and monitor adherence to the defined process and designs and create necessary reports of process performance and outcomes.

  • Moreover, you will contribute on the evolution of investigation processes, guidelines and projects, especially by actively sharing best practices for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with legal or economical background or comparable field or relevant professional education

  • Additional certifications in the professional field (CFA, CIA, etc.) preferred

  • Several years of experience, either in conducting and/or managing internal investigations on different matters, jurisdictions and geographies in the consulting sector (e.g. Big Four), preferably within healthcare industry, in HR/Finance/Legal/Compliance/Audit

  • Proficient knowledge of internal investigation processes and techniques

  • Strong analytical capabilities and structured, dynamic, and self-motivated personality

  • Strong communication skills and intercultural experience

  • Fluency in English for professional communication and preferably German as an additional asset
