About the Role

The Gap Inc. Technology Center is the largest apparel retail technology center in Hyderabad, India. We are focused on building next-generation solutions that will transform the way customers interact with our family of iconic brands - Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Athleta. Commencing operations in 2017, our team is responsible for leading and transforming the IT sphere of the company by creating and driving capabilities across digital technology, data sciences, marketing and automation.

We are looking for UI professional candidates to join us in the Gap Inc. Technology Center.

What You'll Do

• Develop applications with an eye towards simplicity, reliability, manageability, scalability, extensibility, performance and reusability.

• Performing requirement analyses.

• Develop high-quality and detailed designs.

• Identifying risk and conducting mitigation action planning.

• Using coding standards and best practices to ensure quality.

• Perform code reviews and suggest coding practices to team.

• Agile best practices and help team deliver on time.

• Responsible for development of code, writing automated unit and integration test, getting sign-off from manager, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of code.

• Design, implement and launch highly-visible features for our retail platform using Test/Behavior Driven Development practices and support the operations of the product in production.

• Continuously grow his/her skills and value through pair programming and code reviews.

• Practice relentless automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps.

• Work collaboratively with technical and business team members to develop and maintain business solutions following Agile development principles and practices.

• Flexible to be available on call as per project need.

• Able to work independently.

Who You Are

• Strong hands-on development experience on ReactJS and NextJS.

• Strong hands-on development experience on JavaScript,HTML5,CSS/SASS,ES6.

• Experience in creating UI layouts / themes.

• knowledge in packaging / deploy UI applications into cloud.

• Experience in UI profiling tools and debugging.

• Having knowledge of Continuous integration tools like Jenkins.

• Having knowledge of Code Quality tools/frameworks like Sonar.

• Strong knowledge of Automated Testing, Unit Testing, Integration Testing.

• Good knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

These skills would be a plus for the role.

• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs.

• Experience with Azure Cloud

• On-call support experience with PagerDuty, Service Now.

• Knowledge of monitoring tools like New Relic, Grafana etc.

• Knowledge about Tailwind css.

• Experience UI design patterns
