Siemens Energy Commercial Legal Counsel in Houston, Texas

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Legal Counsel for the Siemens Energy, you will support commercial contracts for the sale and service of energy and industrial equipment. You will need to suggest innovative ways to deal with contract requirements, negotiations, obligations, and exposures to business partners.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Draft andnegotiate contractual documents to achieve acceptable risk levels.

  • Drafting settlementagreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, change orders, andother contractual terms and conditions.

  • Summarizeand prepare risk summaries for review and approval by management.

  • Provideclaims handling and litigation support for projects in execution.

  • Providesupport for corporate and compliance matters.

  • Supportvarious Siemens businesses throughout the Americas.

What You Bring

  • JurisDoctorate required.

  • Must beadmitted to practice law in one or more states.

  • Min of 8+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate in-houseposition.

  • Strong negotiation skills, detailoriented, able to handle multiple projects at the same time.

  • Strong customer orientation.

  • Pragmatic approach to problemsolving and strong flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules,and priorities.

  • Teamplayer who can work independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to communicate clearly andconcisely with a range of associates as well as senior executives.

  • Excellent communication, writing, andfacilitation skills.

  • Commercial transaction and energy industryexperience preferred.

  • English and Spanish required.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the UnitedStates without need for current or future employer-sponsored workauthorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
