This position performs complex professional work that combines the knowledge of department programs and practices with the systematic application of county and state software systems. The role partners with other analysts to ensure internal and state system data and reporting are compliant with county, state and federal mandates. Position will provide staff training, communication, technical, and professional support as well as expertise in data administration, and evaluations. Position is focused on system and program support, data integrity, analytics, reporting, and escalation of critical issues to appropriate teams. Duties & Responsibilities These examples do not include all possible tasks in this work and do not limit the assignment of related tasks in any position of this classification. Regular attendance according to the position's management approved work schedule is required for all positions. Support systems and application content and provide technical support as a part of help desk team. Coordination with department staff to ensure systems and procedures are in place to maintain integrity of Social Services' data Partner with Information Technology and Finance departments to ensure system coding and related data is accurate and updated as needed to maintain correct billing processes and secure revenue Monitor legislative changes to understand impacts to systems and processes to ensure compliance, training, and programming changes Coordinate with analyst team on department reporting requests and respond by determining best methods for obtaining and presentation of data Serve as a part of the technology/business process resource team Provide access and routine daily training and technical assistance to end users Provide input for the redesign of processes that support DHS programs and requirements. Provide training for internal end-users regarding system upgrades, revisions, required data elements and fiscal tracking. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities and Work Environment Basic knowledge of research techniques and of basic evaluation, statistical analysis, and accounting principles. Basic ability to evaluate information and prepare recommendations and to prepare clear and accurate reports on time. Ability to work as a member of a team to complete complex projects. Considerable ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. Considerable organizational ability; ability to effectively manage time. Demonstrates an understanding of and respect for the diversity of customers, co-workers, and supervisors, including individuals with a disability or whose first language may be other than English. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a hybrid environment with telework and work in a county office building. Work is primarily sedentary, although there is some walking, travel, and carrying of lightweight items such as laptop and laptop case. Work may require occasional travel for training or seminars.
