Job Description:
Does such items as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system
• Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email
• Prepares purchase order requisitions.
• Attaches the corresponding purchase orders to incoming invoices with all supporting documentation
• Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders.
• Prepares batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
• Assists with monthly status reports, and monthly closings.
• Reconciles various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards.
• Process remittance information from checks, drafts and wire transfers for invoices provided by vendors, reviewing instructions accompanying items to determine proper disposition and crediting accounts in accordance with standard procedures.

Position Summary
The Financial Analyst’s objective is to provide financial support of Guardian’s Group Benefits business by producing valuable accounting, reporting, performing research and analysis. Outputs are to be provided primarily to Group Finance leaders, providing critical accounting and analysis on key financials used in decision making. The Analyst will support the financial operations of Group’s business areas: Claims, Distribution, Product, Dental Network, Underwriting and Finance.
Candidate Responsibilities
Overall 5+ years of experience in Financial Panning & Analysis.
Production of monthly expense results for Group Benefits. Highlight key insights, trends, risks and variances by performing analysis and research for Group finance leaders.
Analysis of DTAR (departmental transaction analysis reports) each month to facilitate accrual and journal entry booking.
Booking and analysis of journal entries with respect to operating expenses.
Data entry into Oracle planning system during Guardian’s Plan and Reforecast scenarios.
Prepare Group India headcount reconciliation and trend reporting for Group finance leaders.
Prepare Group Onshore headcount reconciliation and trend reporting for Group finance leaders.
Prepare adhoc financial summaries and reports.

Position Qualifications
5-7 years of finance/accounting experience
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting
Strong knowledge of financial analytics
Experience using Oracle a plus but not required
Ability to meet tight deadlines
