Accounting Analyst | Gaithersburg, MD

Details:

· Location: Gaithersburg, MD

· 100% On-site

· Monday-Friday

· 7:45am - 5:15pm (Fridays end at 2:45pm!)

· 6-month contract to hire

Necessary Skills

· 3+ years in Financial Analyst or similar role.

· Experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP preferred)

· Experience with Forecasting.

· Experience with Data Analysis .

A day in the role…

· Work directly with the Vice President of Finance on various financial planning models, such as forecasting, budgets, profitability analysis, and reporting.

· Consolidate and analyze financial data while considering Company’s goals and financial standing.

· Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to improve financial performance.

· Monitor performance and provide executive managers with insights into risks and opportunities.

· Analyze financial trends and variances.

· Compare and correct data to reconcile transactions.

· Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.

· Provide accurate and data-based information on Company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity.

· Perform other duties as assigned.
