Responsibilities “No one has the authority to operate out of Compliance” SUMMARY: This position has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce safety as a core value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to food safety & quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. The Sanitation I position is responsible for cleanliness of all equipment throughout the building as well as outdoors. ACTIVITIES: Assumes personal responsibility to insure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies/procedures and incorporates safety and health in all job’s duties/tasks. Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately. Attends and actively participates in safety meetings/trainings. Insures regulatory compliance at all times. Remove remaining product out of all equipment and place in inedible bins. Transport filled inedible bins to specified storage areas. Disassemble all equipment and conveyors and reassemble after sanitation is completed. Clean and dry all food contact and non-food contact surfaces using a predetermined solution of chemical substance/water and applicable sanitation tools. Perform CIP for all necessary equipment (as needed). Clean and sanitize the door formers and replenish the same. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions (work environment and equipment) and ensure that product integrity is intact. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Perform other duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Level 3 High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: LANGUAGE SKILLS: Level 2 Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Level 2 Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. REASONING ABILITY: Level 2 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Examples of licenses, certificates, and registrations required: OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Specific skills and abilities required that are not included in other sections: Ability to function as a team member. Must be able to complete multiple tasks in a time-constrained environment. Must be focused and attentive at all times. Must be detail-oriented. Follow and understand oral instructions.
