EJ is seeking a Distribution and Sales Operations Manager. This is a hybrid position and reports to our Corporate Office in East Jordan, Michigan. The Distribution and Sales Operations Manager directs and coordinates programs and activities which result in effective and economical Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain and Sales Administration services to the external and internal customers of the organization. We are seeking high-performing individuals who are interested in contributing their talents to an innovative and growing company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Manages Distribution Center operations and works with managers at each facility to meet customer service goals. * Oversees and manages Corporate Office Services department. * Manages new truck and equipment orders for branches and acts as a liaison to Procurement. * Manages asset disposals for branch operations. * Establishes new building leases and manages new and existing facility leases and renewals. * Responsible for planning and executing approved CAPEX/OPEX projects. * Manages all office branding projects, updates, and refreshes. * Provides support to Sales and Office managers regarding building and equipment needs. * Coordinates project management of acquisitions between team members. * Prepares internal communications for Sales Operations. * Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages two to three subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of up to 100 employees in the Sales Operations and Distribution departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of those units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software; Contact Management systems; Database software; Development software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
