Here’s the Gist:

Wolfspeed is seeking a Facilities Commodity Manager for Facilities Engineering to join Wolfspeed’s Indirect Procurement team. The Facilities Commodity Manager will be responsible for supporting indirect procurement activities for the Facilities Engineering department and other departments needed. The individual in this position is responsible for the execution and delivery of optimal value when meeting business requirements in addition to managing supplier relationships and performance.  This is an individual contributor role and is required to be onsite 3 days a week.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Interact with internal customers to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
  • Manage procurement process for facilities engineering equipment and services
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure quality of service
  • Collaborate with other departments of the organization to drive and lower total cost of ownership
  • Build relationships with suppliers to position Wolfspeed as a preferred customer
  • Manage supplier quality, cost, and delivery
  • Effectively identify and manage cost savings opportunities 

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • BS in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain related field
  • 3-5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement and contract review
  • Demonstrated experience working in a self-directed environment and managing relationships
  • Energetic individual who can service a dynamic and exciting manufacturing and product line
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • Responsive and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Inquisitive nature, driving for improvement
  • Self-motivator with a desire to take ownership and manage a piece of the business
  • Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in managing bulk gas, utilities, and process management.

    This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
