Big smiles and bigger opportunities

We're Big Fat Smile. A not-for-profit that plays a pivotal role in the lives of thousands of children and families across Australia. We're early education enthusiasts, with 40+ community preschools, long day care centres and fun clubs, and a variety of community and inclusion programs. Each one dedicated to giving every child the best start in life. And each well-respected for the work it does.

Due to our size, there are big opportunities for those who want to go further. You'll find meaningful career paths with lots of promotions across our centres. And because professional learning and growth is at the heart of everything we do, you'll have the support and knowledge to succeed.

Right now, we're looking for a Diploma Educator for our Dapto Community Preschool – an ‘Exceeding NQS' rated service in Dapto. We provide a lovely indoor and outdoor space that enables children to have access to learning resources that are as diverse as the world around them. We implement a well-balanced program that is child-centred, combines opportunities for intentional teachings and learning through play experiences, whilst encouraging children to discover, create, explore and imagine.

We are located within the Dapto Ribbonwood centre and have access to the library and community events held within the premises. We have strong links within the community with the local health nurses, local schools, Careways and local shops. Our location allows us to make regular visits within the community. We often take a trip to the local post office, supermarket and mall events.

We work in partnership with the local school community transition to school program and support children/families in preparing for school the year before they are required to attend. In nurturing children's social, emotional, physical, language, cognitive and independence skills, we are actively preparing them for school in our everyday practices.
