Job Purpose:

The Logistics Coordinator provides support to our operations, shipping and sales teams. Processes orders by entering sales order data into an ERP system and oversees cycle of order fulfilment to final shipment to customer.

Education / Training:

• 1+ years of experience or AA/AS or Vocational/Technical Degree;

• Prefer specific experience in Logistics and Accounting.

Job Title:

Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Key Job Elements:

• Enters and scans data into an ERP system for shipping, receiving and accounts payable;

• Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of inventory locations, production and other locations to support the flow of production following standard work instructions;

• Monitors work in process; schedules trucks; creates Bill of Ladings and other shipping documents;

• Receive purchased items, compares to PO for accuracy and enter items into accounting system;

• Collect finished good production numbers and enter into accounting system;

• Assists external visitors and truck drivers with permit collection and shipping paperwork being completed for loads;

• Communicate with various other departments as needed to create comprehensive schedules for business processes such as sales appointments, shipping, and accounting tasks;

• Identifies and solves problems or discrepancies of limited scope with parts and materials using established procedures or processes;

• Trains new department personnel on work procedures and software.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions

• Strength – Must be able to lift 40 lbs;

• Motion – The position is primarily in an office setting requiring sitting at the desk the majority of the day;

• Vision/Hearing Requirements – May spend long periods of time in front of computer screen;

• Work Environment – Will spend the majority of time in office environment, although exposed

occasionally to plant facilities requiring exposure to hot and cold environments along with noise exposure;

• Emotional Demands – Must have good spoken and written communications skills;

Safety - They will be required to wear all hand, head, toe, eye and hearing protection while in warehouse or shipping/receiving area This is a safety sensitive position.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Work knowledge/experience in Logistics and Accounting;

• Good Computer data entry skills and knowledge of ERP software.
