Amazon Principal Product Manager Tech, Prime Video Content Analytics in Culver City, California

The Prime Video Content Analytics and Products (PVCAPs) team is looking for a visionary Principal Product Manager Technical to lead the lifecycle of our flagship products. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of content planning and analytics at Amazon Prime Video.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Define and implement strategic vision and long-term product roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.

  2. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders at all level, clearly articulating product challenges, trade-offs, and solutions.

  3. Oversee the end-to-end product experience, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and product efficiency.

  4. Act as the single-threaded owner, operating independently and taking full responsibility for product success.

  5. Foster clarity in complex situations, identify and mitigate gaps in product functionality and backend technologies.

  6. Collaborate effectively with various internal teams and customers, and leadership to ensure coherent product strategies and execution.

  7. Drive the prioritization of product features, balancing innovation, risk-taking, and practical considerations.

  8. Make critical decisions distinguishing between one-way and two-way door decisions, ensuring robust product evolution.

  9. Establish and optimize structures and mechanisms for long-term product success, including CX and product performance audits.

About the team

The Prime Video Content Analytics & Products team is dedicated to developing software and business intelligence products that streamline the process of planning, configuring, and tracking content launches at every stage of the title lifecycle, from the initial concept through production to post-launch analysis.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in product management, specifically in tech or media streaming industries.

  • Solid track record in delivering products that meet high customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of driving cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategies and roadmaps.

  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of customer needs.

  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and their application in product development.

  • Experience in handling complex projects and making high-stake decisions.

  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience in managing products in the content streaming or digital media domain.

  • Proven ability to adapt strategies in fast-paced, evolving technology environments.

  • Demonstrated success in using data to drive decision-making and product improvements.

  • History of successful collaboration with engineering, design, and content teams.

  • Experience in driving large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
