Snowflake Inc. Principal/Senior Software Engineer, Software Supply Chain, Product Security in Clyde Hill, Washington

Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team. The Product Security team ensures that Snowflake products are built and shipped with the highest level of security. Our team drives the security development lifecycle of new products in collaboration with multiple product, security and engineering teams. Our approach is to empower Snowflake developers to build secure software. We aim to increase their autonomy by providing clear security guidelines, automating security reviews, and building necessary security tools and frameworks. In this role, you will design and build solutions to enable software supply chain security at Snowflake to help protect from potential vulnerabilities. You will integrate your solutions in the software development lifecycle and own the entire lifecycle, from application development to the CI/CD pipeline and deployment. Your work is crucial to ensuring the integrity and security of the Snowflake product and to protecting our customers. You will have the opportunity to help set the direction for the secure software supply chain team at Snowflake while working closely with security architects, PMs, and other teams at Snowflake. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Experience in software development working with one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, C, C++, Go. Experience designing, testing, and maintaining software solutions. Experience leading project teams and setting technical direction. Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. Experience working with infrastructure from major cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) Experience with building security products, CI/CS pipelines and deployments. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL: Design, develop and scale secure software supply chain solutions at Snowflake Partner with security, engineering and product teams to define and set the strategy for secure software supply chain practices and processes. The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $235,000 - $368,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
