How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Accounting & Finance Intern is responsible for supporting the FP&A and Accounting organization at the North Division's Business Support Center (BSC). This position allows for a hands-on experience where the individual is able to work alongside Analysts and Staff Accountants to gain perspective on concepts learned in class and how they apply in day-to-day work in the FP&A and Accounting departments. This role will work closely with members of the Division Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) departments. Accounting Responsibilities: Responsible for month-end procedures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries Completes general ledger account analysis, research and preparation of account reconciliations Assists with the preparation of reports and other information related to internal requests from the Division/Branches as well as Corporate Assists with the preparation of reports to fulfill information requests from external and internal auditors Assist in the investment management process including: Ensure capital projects are created timely in SAP Preparation of fixed asset retirement and transfer forms Assist in the construction in progress (CIP) review Ensures compliance with the Company's financial policies/procedures Financial Planning and Analysis Responsibilities: Assist in reviewing month end results for anomalies Prepare and distribute monthly financials Assist in preparation of quarterly efficiencies reporting and dd-hoc analyses _Are you a MATCH? Qualifications: Must be enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Finance, Accounting, Management, or Business Junior or Senior level; future graduate. Exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools or Financial applications, preferably SAP. Strong mathematical skills as well as the ability to problem solve and verify data. Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customer's needs, both internal and external. Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data in both statistical and narrative form. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prepare files and maintain records and documentation. A positive approach and willingness to learn coupled with the ability to work in a team environment. Proficient in MS Office and/or Google Suite applications. Ambition to build a career in Finance and Leadership.
