Description

Tommy Zapp with Robert Half is partnering with a great organization in Chandler Arizona to fill an Internal Audit role. The role is based in Chandler, Arizona, United States and involves implementing strategic objectives of the Internal Audit Department by conducting tests, reviews, and investigations of the company's internal controls and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews and review documents to assess the functionality and adequacy of internal controls and processes

• Compose summary memos and prepare working papers as part of the auditing process

• Identify, develop, and document audit observations and recommendations using independent judgment and analysis

• Conduct special reviews and investigations as necessary

• Communicate the results of audit and advisory engagements through written reports and oral presentations

• Review and report on the status of management action plans in response to audit recommendations

• Promote best practices for business processes, risk management, internal controls, and governance

• Liaise with external auditors as part of the auditing process

• Use accounting software systems and audit programs to streamline the auditing process and generate audit reports

• Maintain professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and membership with professional organizations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience in developing and implementing Audit Programs

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Ability to effectively communicate Audit Findings

• Solid background in Auditing procedures and principles

• Expertise in preparing and presenting Audit Reports

• Knowledge of Compliance regulations and standards within the Transport industry

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
