Description

Robert Half is offering an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join a team in Buellton, California. This role requires the management of a bi-monthly payroll system, using software such as Microsoft Excel, ADP Workforce Now, and NetSuite. The position is a short-term contract with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the bi-monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and organize payroll data

• Implement ADP Workforce Now for efficient payroll processing and management

• Use NetSuite for financial management related to payroll

• Work closely with the Payroll Supervisor and/or Payroll Manager to resolve any payroll discrepancies

• Handle all payroll related inquiries and provide timely and accurate responses

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

• Collaborate with the HR department to ensure correct employee data

• Manage reporting to various departments and individuals as needed

• Assist in the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in bi-Monthly Payroll

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with NetSuite

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
